Dr. Mazen Bishtawi is the Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology, with extensive experience in women’s health, advanced gynecological surgery, and comprehensive obstetric care. He specializes in benign gynecology, laparoscopic surgery, uterine fibroids, endometriosis, subfertility, and the management of complex gynecological conditions.
Dr. Mazen holds the prestigious fellowships of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG). He is also an Associate Professor at Qatar University’s College of Medicine, where he contributes to medical education and the development of future healthcare professionals.
With a distinguished career in gynecology, Dr. Mazen has held several international leadership roles, including President of the Arab Gynecological Oncologists and founding member of the Pan Arabian Researchers in Gynecological Oncologists (PARSGO). He has also contributed to global initiatives through his role as a member of the Scientific Committee of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS) and his involvement in developing the European Society of Gynecological Oncology (ESGO) guidelines for cervical cancer management.
An expert in laparoscopic surgery, Dr. Mazen has extensive experience performing complex procedures for ovarian, uterine, cervical, and vulvar conditions. He has also established a center of excellence for the management of gestational trophoblastic disease, reflecting his commitment to advancing women’s healthcare.
