KMC’s Fertility Center was established in partnership with Asan Medical Center, the number one hospital in South Korea, to offer a wide range of fertility care and treatments in Qatar. Both men and women can struggle with infertility and numerous factors can contribute to it, including biological makeup, genetic predisposition, and lifestyle choices. At the Fertility Center, the medical team approaches your fertility care in a holistic manner, taking into account all important variables. There is no single procedure that works best for every patient, but our fertility experts will walk you through your options and ensure you receive the best treatment. The Fertility Center offers treatments from the field of Assisted Reproduction Technology (ART), including but not limited to In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI). In addition, a variety of testing procedures are available for infertility testing, such as ultrasonography and hormonal testing, which are all conducted in a private and confidential area.
Acupuncture is a Traditional East Asian medical practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to promote healing and balance of the body.
Most people don’t feel the needle or report minimal discomfort when the needles are inserted. You might feel a tingling or dull ache, but the process is generally not painful.
Acupuncture is commonly used for pain management (e.g., back pain, headaches), stress, anxiety, digestive disorders, insomnia, and more. Evidence also supports its use for certain chronic conditions like osteoarthritis and migraine.
When performed by a trained and licensed practitioner, acupuncture is very safe. Sterile, single-use needles are used to minimize risks of infection or injury.
A typical acupuncture session takes 45 minutes. It will take 60 minutes if it is your first session including consultation.
The number of sessions varies depending on the condition being treated and individual response. Acute conditions may require fewer sessions, while chronic conditions may need regular treatments over weeks or months.
